This week, I'll be featuring the most legendary band in recent KPop history. Holding the world record for the world's largest official fanclub with more than 800,000 official members just in South Korea alone, the featured band of this week is none other than DBSK

Kim Jae Joong / Hero

Contributing as the main vocalist, Hero is also well known for being the hottest guy in Asia due to polls online and winning the Best Face award from SM Entertainment ! He can cook really well and is also known as the "mother" of the group, this might be due to the fact he has 8 sisters! His stage name is Hero as he wants to be the hero in the entertainment industry (:

Jung Yun Ho / U-Know

The leader of the group, U-Know is also the bass for the group. He is also called the "Famous Gentleman of Asia" thanks to him gentlemanly ways (: U-Know stems from his desire to know people and for himself to be known to everyone, therefore his stage name is U-Know Yunho(:

Park Yoo Chun / Micky

Micky is the baritone for the group, he is the 3rd oldest in the group. Also, he has a massive collections of about at least 200 hats ! Micky in Chinese means "secret weapon", and therefore he wants to be the secret weapon in the music industry!

Kim Jun Su / Xiah

Known to the fans as Xiah, he is the tenor of the group. His best friend is Eunhyuk from Super Junior and they've grown up together (: Why is his nickname Xiah? He wants to be known throughout A-SIA so she chose Xiah Junsu by taking the “sia” in Asia and combining it to his real name (:

Shim Chang Min / Max

Max is the high tenor for the group and also the youngest (: His stage name is Max Chang Min due to the fact that he wants to be the best/Max in the entertainment world so therefore his stage name is Max (:

SHINee (샤이니)

This week's featured band is one that has been gaining much recognition, especially recently for their 2nd studio album titled "Lucifer". Kpop fans will already know which band I'm refering to of course, and it is none other than SHINee!

SHINee is the only other band, besides Super Junior, that I have been steadfastly supporting from their debut up till now (:

So let's get down to the members !

Lee Jin Ki / Onew

Better known to the fans as Dubu Leader Onew, he is the leader and one of the vocalists in SHINee. One interesting fact about him is that he was second in his school for his academic achievements ! His fans are called MVPs :D

Kim Jong Hyun

Fans call him Bling Bling Jonghyun, and he is the lead vocalist of the group. Also , he is the shortest in the whole group (: His fans are called Blingers :D

Kim Ki Bum / Key

Almighty Key is the nickname that his fans, known as Lockets, have given him. He is one of the rappers and vocalists of the group (: Why his nickname is Key? He likes to solve things (:

Choi Min Ho

The main rapper of the group, he is known as Flaming Charisma Minho to his fans, the Flames. He is considered the most fashionable member in SHINee :D

Lee Tae Min

The lead dancer in SHINee , and known to his fans, Taemints, as Mushroom Maknae Taemin. He carries a bag full of candy with SHINee's logo attached and gives it out to noonas (older women) when he sees them :D

Even though they have only debuted for 2 years, their impressive fanbase is a force to be reckoned with (: You might be thinking HOW GOOD CAN A BAND OF 2 YEARS BE?

Super Junior (슈퍼주니어)

This week's featured band is Super Junior (!) Personally, this is my favourite band and its the first group that I loved (: But most people dont give them a chance solely due to the large number of members and subgroups.

Okay this is the confusing part, people who are new to KPop would not be able to understand what subgroups are.

SO WHAT ARE SUBGROUPS?
Subgroups are smaller groups within a band that target specific music genres. In Super Junior's case, they have a total of 4 subgroups !

Super Junior KRY

This is the first subgroup of Super Junior and they singing mournful, R&B-style ballads. As the name suggests, only 3 members make up this subgroup and their initials make up KRY and they are the main vocalists of the main group namely Cho Kyuhyun, Kim Ryeowook and Kim Jong Woon / Yesung

Super Junior T

Second subgroup of Super Junior, they specialise in trot music, the oldest form of Korean pop. This group is made up of 6 members : Park Jung Soo/Leeteuk , Kim Hee Chul , Kim Young Woon/Kang In , Shin Dong Hee , Lee Sung Min and Lee Hyuk Jae/Eunhyuk

Super Junior M

Targeting the Chinese market, the third Super Junior subgroup was formed. Two more new members were added to this subgroup on top of the 5 members from Super Junior. However, the two members are NOT part of the main Super Junior. The 7 members are : Hankyung , Lee Dong Hae , Choi Si Won , Kim Ryeo Wook , Cho Kyuhyun , Zhou Mi and Henry

Super Junior H

The final subgroup of Super Junior, this group sings ontemporary dance music and bubblegum pop to target the industry with their fun and entertaining style. The 6 members in this group are : Park Jung Soo/Leeteuk , Kim Jong Woon/Yesung , Kim Young Woon/Kang In , Shin Dong Hee , Lee Sung Min and Lee Hyuk Jae/Eunhyuk
